You will be joining a team of over 500 process and application specialists based all around the world who are all working actively to help our customers achieve superior cleaning results, whilst at the same time increasing their turnover and sustainability.   

We are establishing two new roles: one based in Christchurch, the other in Palmerston North, with responsibilities to provide sales and service to new and existing key accounts in the South Island and lower North Island respectively. 

Job Description:

A Services Key Account Manager is the main interface between our business and the customer with a focus on quality outcomes and service.   They will apply their knowledge and expertise to grow the service business in a profitable way for the customers and the company in a win-win situation based on a deep knowledge of the customers operations and needs. A Services Key Account Manager is responsible for several Key Accounts in the Textile Care & Food Hygiene industries and will work closely with our National Laundry Technical & Application Specialist and our National Food & Beverage Technical & Application Specialist.

What will you do:

  • Lead customer relationships from a service perspective through a structured communication approach
  • Lead technical engineering & chemical implementation and follow-up in alignment with the customer and FluidChristeyns KAM team.
  • Assist with creation of quality plans and participate in implementation and follow-up of targets (WECO – Water, Energy, Chemicals, Operations) per Key Account in line with the customer and KAM team.
  • Together with National Laundry and Food & Beverage Technical & Application Specialists and KAM team, explore opportunities including cross selling, and up selling, the preparation of fact-based value proposals following through to negotiation and closing the deal.
  • Work with KAM team to lead growth of profitable service contracts
  • Participate in follow-up to ensure we are delivering value, customer satisfaction and profitability within the service business both with the customer and internally.
  • Manage internal relationships to ensure efficient delivery of service and quality account plans.
  • Participate in the resolution of technical issues by managing communication with the customer and issue driver
  • Lead service plan through a project lifecycle process to ensure new equipment is correctly installed, operating effectively and then handed over to services teams. 

We would love to hear from anyone who believes they have the majority of the following attributes:

  • 5 years of proven experience in sales - engineering management in the Textile Care and/or Food industry is preferred
  • Strong business acumen
  • A relevant tertiary education
  • Experience working with chemicals in any Industry with a preference for those with experience in Textile Care and/or Food Industry
  • Project management experience, an understanding of maintenance challenges - ideally in the Textile Care and/or Food industry
  • Experience in customer relationship management, technology industries and maintenance experience will be an asset.
  • Excellent communicator with strong people skills and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service: proactive and adaptable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Is a team player, organized and a strategic thinker.
